Mercy Street

Written by Ray Scarbrough

In dark I walked so far from care I stumbled all alone.
I tripped & fell away from love, my feet content to roam.
I stepped like Bartimaeus so blind I could not see.
Then Jesus cleared the way for me to walk down mercy street.

I’m gonna take a walk down mercy street.
Away from the land that once knew my sin.
With every step I take mercy I meet.
And I’m never going back again.

I‘ve traveled many miles it seems high steppin with the Lord.
He’s taught me how to stand so proud while leaning on his word.
Into the Holiest of All I fell down on my knees.
And now I strut with grace divine & I’m walkin down Mercy Street.
