Mercy Made a Way

Written by Daryl Williams and Amy Keffer-Shellem

Verse 1

The verdict had been read

Guilty as charged

Sin had made its claim

As my life fell apart

Then a voice from heaven

Cried out for me in love

And placed a blood stained Cross

Between me and the judge

Mercy made a way

When there was no other way

The accuser said condemned

But that’s when God stepped in

Justice held the debt

Of sin I could not pay

But, the Cross was raised to say…

Mercy made a way

Verse 2

The prosecutor’s case has finally been dismissed

The blood of Jesus Christ has covered all my sin

Forever I’m forgiven

Today, I stand redeemed

For who the Son sets free, Praise God is freed indeed

Repeat Chorus

If you’re in the court room of shame and disgrace

Friend, let me remind you

Jesus died to take your place
