Good Tired

Recorded and singled by The Akins.

Written by David Akin

Verse 1
Often people ask me, why do I keep on traveling
Why don’t I just settle down and live my life at home
But I know out there somewhere, I can make a difference
And I know there will be times when I’ll get tired
But that’s a good tired

Verse 2
I have a special neighbor who started on the bottom
Now he owns a restaurant on almost every road
And every time I see him, he’s helping hurting children
And I’ve seen him many times when he was tired
But that’s a good tired

Chorus
A good tired is when you know you have done the best you can
To reach out to a hurting world and lend a helping hand
No matter who or where you are, you can make a difference
But I can tell you there’ll be times when you’ll get tired
But that’s a good tired

Verse 3
Someone leaves their home and goes across the ocean
They turn their back on easy life because they do believe
That maybe out there somewhere, they can make a difference
And I know there will be times when they’ll get tired
But that’s a good tired

Verse 4
There was a man who came here and walked upon the water
He healed the deaf and He healed the lame, and He caused the blind to see
He gave his life for all of us so He could make a difference
And I know that many times He got so tired
But that’s a good tired
