Sleepwalking

Written by Mark Mathes

Vs 1
Lazarus was sick
They sent word to the Savior
But the fune-ral had been over for 4 days
Martha ran to him
Said “Jesus, you are too late,
Our brother’s dead
And already in the grave”

VS2
Mary then met Jesus
With tears of sorrow bowed down
In compassion He said “Show me where he lay”
The crowd all gathered around
In disbelieve they watched as
Jesus cried out “Roll the stone away”

Pre-chorus 1
And with a loud voice Jesus shouted
“Lazarus come out”
And from that tomb
Walked Lazarus alive without a doubt

CH
He wasn’t sleepwalking
When he walked out of the grave
He had the whole town talking
He had been dead for 4 days
When Jesus spoke his name
Out of the grave he came
He was alive, He was alive
He wasn’t sleepwalking

VS 3
The Jesus left the graveside
Some plotted for His life
Because of what they saw and heard that day
They found him in the garden
They nailed Him to a  cross
And placed His lifeless body in a grave

Pre-chorus 2
But then Early Sunday morning
The stone was rolled away
And from that tomb walked Jesus
On that resurrection day

CH 2
He wasn’t sleepwalking
when he walked out of the grave.
he had the whole town talking.
He had been dead for three days
when the Father called his name
Up from the grave he came.
He was alive. He was alive.
He wasn’t sleepwalking.

BR
He wasn’t sleepwalking
He had the whole town talking
He wasn’t sleepwalking
He had the whole town talking
