Verse 1
If you’re in the dark about the light of this world scripture clarifies
These are perilous times of terrible crimes as rumors of war arise
The stage may be set for the last sunset if the sun refuses to shine
So if he came back today can you honestly say you wouldn’t be surprised

Chorus
I wouldn’t be surprised to realize I’ve entered heaven’s gate
His word is clear the time is near we don’t have long to wait
Just believe and trust in the saving love of our savior Jesus Christ
And when He calls your name on that Glorious day you won’t be surprised

Verse 2
Friend the scripture states everything’s in place for that final journey home
How would it feel to find you’ve been left behind when all of his children are gone
If you receive God’s grace and walk in faith then He will  open your eyes
And you won’t be among those as that day gets close to be caught by surprise

Chorus
I wouldn’t be surprised to realize I’ve entered heaven’s gate
His word is clear the time is near we don’t have long to wait
Just believe and trust in the saving love of our savior Jesus Christ
And when He calls your name on that Glorious day you won’t be surprised
