Vs. 1
There’s a mighty army who have answered
Gods call-
They’re marching in the battle standing ready and tall.
They’re holding the lines against the forces of Hell-
The cross is their banner and it can never fail.

The echoes of the conflict can be heard through the years-
Where soldiers of the past fought their demons and fears.
At times it seemed like the church would not win;
But grace always triumph over evil and sin.

The same grace that brought us to the power of the cross-
Is the same grace that saves us when the battle seems lost.
It’s amazing, life-changing, so marvelous and free-
Gods’ arms of grace are open for you and for me.
Many Saints have already fought and finished their race;
We’ll win the crown of life by the same grace.

So do not be weary in the good fight of faith;
Ole’ Satan will try you so be watchful and brave.
No weapon formed against you can prosper nor defeat-
The Lord of Hosts is mighty and victory is sweet.
