Vs. 1
Gods’ Children faced doom-
For Pharaoh pursued them down to the Sea.
They had no place to turn;
But, Moses looked up and learned-
That God would meet their need.
‘Fear not but stand still’-
Our salvation is near’-
Moses cried on that day.
Oh, just as God delivered them-
He’s done it time and time, again-
When I’ve held my ground and prayed.

I stood firm on the solid, Rock of Ages.
I stood steadfast, determined and courageous.
When the Enemy threatened;
Christ made intercession-
And, sent reinforcements to me!
I stood when others said I would not.
I stood when I even thought I could not.
And, I’m standing today;
Safe in Gods’ arms of grace-
Fighting daily for the right and good.
Through the power of God, I stood.

Ole’ Satan stopped by-
Just to remind me of failures and fears.
He rattled the chains-
That kept me enslaved for many long years.
He threatened to hurt-
The glorious work, that Christ made in me.
But, I would not bow;
‘Til sweet vict’ry was found-
And, Satan met defeat.
