The Color Of Love

The Color Of Love

Flesh was the color,

of the saviour that was born

Layed in a manger,

On that first Christmas morn

Black was the color,

of the hearts that Jesus saw

He could see the sin ,

That lies within,

The hearts of us all

And red was the color,

of the anger Jesus wore,

when he found his Fathers temple

Turned into a store

These are colors of life

The Creator has painted

From the beginning of time

His brush never faded

From the newness of Spring

Till the harvest of Fall

The creator of color

Has colored it all

Green was the color

Of jealousy among the Priest

You see when Jesus spoke

The seas were calmed

And the winds, they had to cease

Silver was the color

Of the coin that they paid

And with a single kiss from Judas

Jesus was betrayed

And scarlett was the color

Of the robe that they used

With a piercing crown

And a sign that read

King Of The Jews

These are colors of life

The creator has painted

From the beginning of time

His brush never faded

From the newness Of Spring

Till the harvest in Fall

The Creator of color

Has colored it all

But the color of love

Is the color of blood

And it comes from the vein

Of the one that was slain

As the nails , they were driven

The sacrifice given

God sent us his love

In the color of blood
