I’ll Seek Your Face
Shona Bright
Time after time, when I kneel in prayer,
I bring my worries, and all my cares,
I lay them at Your feet, and You meet every need,
You’ve given all that I’ve asked for,
And still I ask for more,
But deep inside I know, there’s more, to life, So, I won’t ask, for anything, this 3me.
I’ll seek Your face, and not Your hand, More than answers to my prayers,
I desire to understand,
Who You are, Great I Am!
Without question or demands,
Lord, I’m here to seek Your face and not Your hand
There’s a ladder called success, and everybody wants to climb, But at the top there isn’t much, for anyone to find,
So, I’ll stay here at Your feet, and search the mystery,
Of Your greatness and Your love,
Just, Your presence, is enough,
Cause deep inside I know there’s more to life, So, I won’t ask, for anything, this time!
At Your right hand there are pleasures, evermore, but that’s not what I’m searching for, There’s a longing in my soul, just to know, who You are!
Lord, I want to see your face, I want to know Your heart!
