Nothing Says I Love You

Nothing Says I Love You

written by RAY SCARBROUGH

V1

I would climb a mountain top

crawl to it’s highest spot,

I’d face the gloomy overcast

that has your sunshine blocked

I’d take a real deep breath and blow

and flap my arms away

until you feel the sun’s warm glow

and the clouds are shooed away

Chorus

But nothing says “I love you”

like I’ll get down on my knees

and mention you to Jesus

with “thank you’s” and “pretty please”

the throne room floor is littered

with petitions in your name

It’s the least, but still the most that I can do

Cause nothin’ says “I love you”

like “I’ll pray”

V2

I would comb every wheat field

with just a needle as my rake

build a pyramid from pebbles

however long it takes

I’d face a hurricane

with just a cup to bring you rest

or bring you to the ocean Maker

that would be my greatest best
